The objective of having a Master Agent in Remote locations is to reduce the bandwidth consumption between different office locations. The major bandwidth consumption happen while deploying software or while installing the patches. Given below is the proposed architecture:
- The master agent residing at the remote office will get the software and patch details of all the computers in that location. This will take care of replicating the required data to individual computers (desktop central agents) in that location
- The configuration data will also be replicated to the remote offce computers by the master agent.
- The results of patch scanning, inventory scanning and status of the deployed configurations will be directly sent to the Desktop Central server by the computers in the remote offices.
